Where there is a will there will be a way. For years our Latino community has been promised immigration reform. With some very concrete moves, the Democrats can make serious progress at moving this issue forward.
Passing Immigration Reform under the Biden administration makes perfect sense. President Biden is one of very few former Members of Congress that can actually bring senators and members from all sides of the political spectrum, together.

Right now, if Democrats want to pass immigration reform and the Republicans object to it through the filibuster rule, 60 members of the Senate would have to go along with. That’s all 50 Democrats and independents, plus 10 Republicans. Without the filibuster rule, a simple majority plus the vice president’s tie-breaker would be enough.
