My condolences go out to the family of Marvin Leon Summers. This is a tragic accident that goes to show just how dangerous it is driving close to 18-wheelers or semi-trucks on the interstate. A big rig truck is a several ton vehicle, and when accidents happen they often result in serious injuries or death.
If you live in the Odessa-Midland area, you know first-hand how many trucks and tractor-trailers are now on our roads and interstates. With the oil-boom in Texas, especially West Texas has seen an increase in truck traffic. Be careful out there.
If you are ever injured in a Midland-Odessa Truck Accident you should call my Odessa Law Offices right away.

The driver of the Escalade was 69-year-old Marvin Leon Summers from Lubbock. Police say he died at the scene. Summers was a candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission.
Investigators said that the truck was in the outside lane and was trying to make a right-hand turn onto a private drive, they believe that’s when the Cadillac, which was going too fast, hit the back of the trailer.
