Around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to the scene of a hotel fire in southwest Houston. According to the Houston Fire Department, the fire started in a room on the second floor of the hotel. The flames then spread to the third floor. Several people were treated for smoke inhalation and one person was taken to the hospital on a stretcher.
At least four people are being treated at the scene of a hotel fire in the city’s southwest area, the Houston Fire Department tweeted.
Firefighters were called at about 10:30 a.m. to 6060 Hooten Road at Southwest Freeway, the department said.
